Fuse box & consumer unit upgrades
Replacing an old fuse box with a modern, RCD/RCBO-protected consumer unit — often the single most impactful electrical safety upgrade you can make.
Why upgrade
Older rewireable fuse boxes offer none of the automatic shock protection that modern RCDs (residual current devices) provide, and they're a common flag on EICR reports. A consumer unit upgrade brings your circuits up to current protection standards without needing a full rewire.
What's included
- Removal of the old fuse box
- Installation of a new metal-clad consumer unit with RCBO protection per circuit
- Testing of all existing circuits
- Building control notification and Electrical Installation Certificate
